Why Civics?

Libraries serve many roles in their communities. Civic Engagement @ the Library emphasizes the library’s role as a place where residents have or receive the information they need to:

  • Support and promote democracy.
  • Fulfill their civic responsibilities at the local, state and national levels.
  • Fully participate in community decision making.
