That was amazing!

Giving Tuesday 2022

That was amazing!  On Tuesday, November 29th there was a steady stream of donations to help UDPL establish the Library of Things.

Together, we raised $2,869.50 from 35 generous donors – more than double our goal of $1,000. Thank you for donating! We’re all looking forward to 2023 when the Library of Things will be stocked and opened for borrowing.

Membership

It’s not too late to join or renew your membership to the Friends of UDPL. The Friends pay for programs and services not funded through state and local taxes.  Membership is our biggest source of revenue each year.  In 2022, the Friends provided $40,000 for programs such as the new Adult Discovery and Learning series, Summer Reading Club activities, Museum Passes and Author Visits.  Become a Friend today!

Congratulations to our early renewal prize recipients:
Act II Tickets: Neil Fishman
Copper Crow Gift Certificate: Leonard Watrin
Ambler Theater Single Memberships: Peter and Diane Kendall, Robert Michaelson.

Holiday Shopping

Support the library as you shop this holiday season!

  • Visit the friends-shop on the 1st floor of the library for games, learning toys, vintage jewelry, readers gifts, greeting cards and more.
  • When you shop online at Smile.Amazon.com and designate “The Friends of Upper Dublin Public Library”, Amazon Smile Foundation will donate 0.5% of eligible purchases to the Friends.

Other Ways to Donate

If you haven’t done so already, be sure to make your tax-deductible donation to the Friends before the end of the year.

  • You may enjoy tax benefits from donations of stock, or transfers directly from your IRA if you have Required Minimum Distributions (RMD).
  • Don’t forget to check with your employer about Matching Gifts to stretch your gift!

Big Congratulations!

As 2022 comes to a close, we’d like to thank you for your generosity to one of our community’s greatest assets – Upper Dublin Library. Did you know? The Pennsylvania Library Association named Upper Dublin Library its Library of the Year!  The Friends are thrilled to provide extra funding that enables our stellar library staff and leaders to develop programs, services and activities for the entire community.

Let’s continue to convene, create, collaborate and celebrate at Upper Dublin Library!
