Hello all, it is Miss Jenn with your children’s summer recap.
The Universe of Stories theme for our Summer Quest program (formally Summer Reading Club) was a big hit. Programs were popular with Astronaut Training and Grace the Pirate topping the list. Next summer we will be exploring fairy tales and mythology with a theme of Imagine Your Story!
I am sure you noticed the LEGO build and Night Sky as you used the library and I wanted to give you a little more information about them both.
LEGO Build: Once our pre-readers and readers (Astronaut Trainees and Mission Specialists) completed their second task of each week they were given a bag of 10 LEGOs to add to the community build. 1,449 bags were given out. The LEGO build was constructed of 14, 490 LEGOs! Way to go!
Night Sky: Each star represents a child or teen who read each week over the summer. The first task the children were asked to do each week was to read. If they read, they earned a star to put on the wall. I haven’t counted them, but there are a lot. The night sky is still up if you want to see it in person.

Our fall programs get underway next month and they are online now for you to check out.
Lastly, I need to thank the Friends of Upper Dublin Public Library. They pay for all the programs that we present and all the prizes we give out. Please think about joining, you won’t regret it.
