The Upper Dublin Public Library program is getting ready to kick off our 2022 summer reading program. Sponsored by the Friends of the Upper Dublin Library, this summer will be bigger and better than ever! Starting on June 20, you can sign-up for our reading program. We are, once again, using Beanstack.com to log reading minutes. (see below for information on how to sign-up)
Adults and young adults can earn raffle tickets for chances towards prizes. Younger ones can earn brag tags for reading, writing reviews, completing activities, and attending select programs. The wee little ones can earn rubber ducks and finger puppets. There’s definitely something for everyone.
But there’s SO much more than prizes. For our families and kids, there’s the big Summer Reading Kick-Off Picnic on Saturday, June 25. Games, authors, and even special guests! Throughout the summer there are special storytimes, Mer-Camp, Shark Week Snack Attack, Ocean Yoga, and more!
And don’t forget our Wednesday Performances. Meet live animal ambassadors, see magic, puppets, and Silly Joe will be back to make us all laugh!
For teens, we have a message in a bottle program, a mer-folk spa, Q-crew, Can you Survive a Desert Island, and more.
For adults, there are author events (Jennifer Haigh and Katy Tur), crafting labs, book clubs, and prizes to be earned as well.
Check out the calendar for all the latest events and activities. If you click on any event, it will tell you the details – what ages, if registration is required, times, and places.
To sign-up to log your reading minutes, go to Beanstack.com and click on “find a site” and search for Upper Dublin. Click on our logo and sign up OR log-in (it’s the same site as last year). From here you can “Log Reading”, “Check Challenges”, “Add Reviews”. (You can also talk to any staff member and we will help you sign up.)
Summer at the Upper Dublin Library is just filled with an Ocean of Possibilities!
