STEAM Lab Programming Registration

Steam Lab LogoUpper Dublin Public Library is pleased to present a series of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math programs for individuals of all ages beginning in fall of 2015!

The UDPL STEAM Lab offers a variety of different programs and events. Some of these events, including 3D Printing Classes, are scheduled programs that require pre-registration. Other events will include Open Houses and Pop-Up programs which will be drop-in programs and will not require registration.

If a program requires registration, the registration will be completed online through the UDPL website.

Join Miss Jenn to learn about basic concepts in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Open-ended activities will follow a discussion of the week’s topic. Children will have a chance to explore the topic without expectations of a finished product.

*This program is for children who have not started kindergarten.*

Is your pillowcase comfortable? Pillowcases are extremely easy to make and you can make it perfect for just you! Participants will need to bring: 1.5 yards of fabric that is 45 inches wide or more. Thread & sewing notions will be supplied.

*Space is very limited. Do you own your own sewing machine? Our Steam Lab only has six machines, but if you bring your own, we can accept more students. Slots 7-12 are for those who have their own machine or prefer to sew by hand.*

Ages 15+

You can never have enough tote bags! Learn how to create your own personalized bag with an extremely easy pattern. Participants will need to bring: 1 yard fabric that is sturdy enough for a bag. 1 yard cording, trim or other strapping that is sturdy enough for the straps. Thread & sewing notions will be supplied.

Have you ever looked at the beads in the store and wished you could make them into something to wear? Learn how to make a basic necklace or bracelet. It’s easy and fast! Participants need to bring their own beads;  Stringing material and clasps will be supplied.
