I recently enjoyed a book from our library entitled Abstract City by Christoph Niemann. The book is a collection of sixteen visual blogs that he created for The New York Times. Niemann is a graphic designer with an incredibly clever sense of design and a wonderful sense of humor. I particularly enjoyed his photos of quirky Lego creations, his illustrated essay about tiling his bathrooms with grid forms of famous works of art, and a photo essay full of leaves shaped into popular symbols and movie references.
