Upper Dublin Township is the place to meet! Among the Township’s facilities, there are gathering places, community and conference rooms and study areas. Whether you need a small, quiet space for study, a larger room for collaboration, or a venue to host an important event – the right size space is available in Upper Dublin Township.

Study Rooms

Upper Dublin Public Library is pleased to offer study rooms on the 2nd floor for visitor use. These rooms enable individuals and small groups of up to six people to meet for educational or informational purposes. All study rooms are equipped with tables and chairs and have access to high-speed Internet. Select rooms also have built-in monitors that can be connected to personal devices. Study room users will be expected to review and agree to the terms of this policy for use.

Study Room FAQs

When are Study Rooms available?

Study rooms are available during the library’s regular business day, beginning fifteen minutes after opening through half an hour prior to closing.

Current Study Room Hours:

Monday – Thursday 9:45a – 8:15p
Friday – Saturday – 9:45a – 4:30p
Sunday – 12:15-4:30p

Can Study Rooms be reserved ahead of time?

A valid library card from any library is required to check out a study room. Upper Dublin Library cardholders may reserve a study room online up to 60 days in advance. UDPL cardholders are permitted up to two (2-hr) reservations/week and eight reservations/month.

For library visitors with a library card issued from a neighboring library and those without reservations, study rooms may be checked out by a staff member on a first come, first served basis. Additional time may be requested if no one is waiting.

Are students able to reserve/check out a Study Room?

Students 12 years and older with a valid Upper Dublin Library card are permitted to reserve a Study Room online up to 60 days in advance. UDPL cardholders are permitted up to two (2-hr) reservations/week and eight reservations/month.

For library visitors with a library card issued from a neighboring library and those cardholders without reservations, study rooms may be checked out for up to 2 hours by a staff member on a first come, first served basis. Additional time may be requested if no one is waiting.

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

What technology and other features are available in the Study Rooms?

All Study Rooms are equipped with tables and chairs for four-six people. Wifi is available in all rooms.

Rolling whiteboards, markers and erasers as well as HDMI cables, remote and instructions are available in some rooms. You will be able to see what features are available in each room at the time of reservation.

Study rooms shall be left in the same condition as they were found. Courtesy to subsequent users is expected and appreciated.

Where do I go to check in for my Study Room reservation?

Those with reservations must check in at the 2nd floor Main Desk before beginning to use the study room. Reservations are forfeited if the registered person is 15 minutes late.

How frequently can a Study Room be reserved?

Upper Dublin Library cardholders are permitted up to two reservations/week and eight reservations/month.

Nonresidents may request a room on a first come, first served basis upon arrival.

 

How can I use a study room if I don’t have a reservation?

See a staff member at the 2nd Floor Main Desk to inquire about availability when you arrive. Additional time may be requested if no one is waiting.
