UDPL is proud to announce that at the start of a new year, we’re offering a new way to access digital content! As of this morning, there are six brand new iPad Airs on the floor for YOU to use.

There are four iPads in our kids place. Each one is pre-loaded with apps selected by Miss Jenn, the children’s librarian. The apps are both fun and educational. They include an app that lets you draw with light, NASA’s kid friendly app about space, a news app specifically designed for young readers, and more! Each iPad also has kid friendly headphones designed for little ears.

There are two iPads in our reading room. Each one of these is pre-loaded with digital content apps including Overdrive, Zinio,
and Mango. Overdrive is our eBook portal and each iPad has ten downloaded books for you to browse. (These titles will change every other week!) Zinio is our eMagazine portal and each iPad has many downloaded magazines. (These titles will change each month!) Mango will allow you to explore over 60 foreign languages! We’ve also included Safari, a web browser, which will allow you to access the internet from the Reading Room iPads.

We hope that these tablets will help enhance your digital experience at UDPL. Please stop in to try them out!
