How do I place a request to be picked up at the Service Window?

For the last few months, you’ve been selecting another library for your holds pickups. Going forward, if you want to pick up your items at the UDPL’s Service Window, you simply have to select the Upper Dublin Library as the Pickup Location when you place a new request online. How do I get a library card?

Your library card will be more important than ever when we open the new building. Upper Dublin Township residents can apply for a library card here. You will be contacted by a staff member when your library card is ready for pickup. Alternatively, you can request that your card be mailed to you.
What if I have fines or fees for lost/damaged books?

We know this has been and continues to be a stressful and frustrating time for everyone. We realize you have a lot on your plate, and the last thing we want you to be worrying about are overdue fines. Therefore, we are suspending overdue fines for the foreseeable future. We still encourage you to return your items
Where do I return the books I have checked out?

The Book Drop is now open from dawn to dusk at the new library at 520 Virginia Drive, Ft. Washington. The Book Drop is located on the back wall which allows the items to be returned directly into the building! You may return books you've borrowed from other libraries. We'll make sure they return home.
Can I pick up my request inside the UDPL building?

At this time, all requested books and other items must be picked up at the Service Window. The Library building remains closed.
How does the Service Window work?

When you are notified that your book is ready for pickup at the Upper Dublin Library, simply visit the Library Service Window during operating hours. (Click here to see our hours.) The Window is located next to the book return slot. Enter the Southeast driveway and follow signs for Book Drop/Pickup (first left, inner lane). No appointments are necessary.
