Because of the HBO series, True Blood, many people are aware of the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. However, many people are not aware that Charlaine Harris has written other series, including mysteries and a little known series that I am especially fond of, the Harper Connolly series.

We first meet Harper Connolly  in Grave Sight (M Harri.C Grav). When she was a teenager she survived a lightning bolt. Since then, she has been able to feel the presence of corpses and experience what they experienced in the last few moments of their lives. In the company of her step-brother, Tolliver, she travels around the country finding people for pay and sometimes for charity. As you can imagine, this does not always make her popular with the people who pay to find out what happened to Grandfather and discover that a cat knocked a radio into his bath.

In Grave Sight, Harper is doing her “normal”, everyday job in Sarne, Arkansas when she is threatened and her brother is arrested. The mystery is intriguing unto itself and, when you add in Harper’s interesting viewpoint, the book just flies by. Check out “Grave Sight”!
