I’m thrilled to announce the return of Between the Pages, the UDPL’s seasonal program guide, this Winter 2022. Tack it to your refrigerator (or read it online) to stay current on upcoming programs for you and your family!
We hope that you have been getting acquainted with the new Library building, and have been enjoying all of the new amenities. Tired of telework? Check out one of the nine study rooms and give yourself a quieter new view. Looking for a way to entertain your toddler on cold winter days? Visit the UDPL PlaySpace in the new Children’s Library. Want to broaden your mind or connect with others in the community? Participate in a program—storytime, DIY, book discussion or language learning—in the new STEAM Lab, Story Lab, classroom or auditorium.
Don’t forget to curl up with some thrilling, romantic, informative, or inspiring library books! Need more time? Your books will now autorenew up to three times if no one else is waiting for them. Also, the dreaded overdue fine is a thing of the past! We encourage you to return your books on time, but like so many libraries all over the country, the UDPL has permanently done away with charging overdue fines for items returned late. (Note: Books returned to other MCLINC libraries may still accrue fines). For more info, check out our Borrowing FAQs here.
Looking for a gift or stocking your own bookshelves? Shop our gently-used titles in the Friends of UDPL Gift & Book Shop, and know your contribution helps us continue providing the high quality programs you’ve come to expect and enjoy.
