Library staff will be monitoring use of the Library to ensure visitors are following adopted protocols that are in line with CDC and PA guidelines. As per the Library Board’s COVID-19 policy, visitors will be required to properly wear masks and to socially distance. Building capacity will be kept at a reduced rate.

The Library also is taking several measures to reduce the potential transfer of the virus. Acrylic shields surround all service desks. Visitors are strongly encouraged to bring their library card (or a digital scan of their library card barcode), and they will be directed to utilize the Library’s self-checkout stations. Fines will be waived at this time; borrowers are encouraged to pay any fees for lost/damaged books online.

Cleaning and disinfecting are a priority for the Library. An experienced, professional team will clean the Library every day the building is open. Additionally, library staff will periodically sanitize high touch surfaces throughout operating hours. Hand sanitizer dispensers are available throughout the building. Books and other items returned are being quarantined for 1 day (24 hours) before being checked in and returned to the shelves.
