Description:  Women have challenged tradition and found their voices as citizens, activists, and reformers throughout history. Discover stories of local women supporting US independence, advocating for the abolition of slavery, creating social services, and building the suffrage movement.

Instructor: Since 1972, Cynthia Little has researched and spoken about women’s historical experience in Philadelphia. She co-founded Feminist Tours of Philadelphia in 1973 and later was part of the founding group of Women’s History Month. She holds a doctorate in history from Temple University and worked as a public historian in archives and museums.
