Travel back to early Upper Dublin & the Revolutionary War with an afternoon of free activities for the whole family!
Meet George Washington portrayed by Dean Malissa, the official portrayer of General Washington at Mount Vernon, and Noah Lewis as Ned Hector, a black revolutionary soldier and hero from the Battle of Brandywine.
Take a tour of the new section of the Pennypack trail to see the grounds of the Emlen house and where George actually slept! Tours at 1:30 and 3:30 pm.
Meet other Revolutionary reenactors, dig for colonial artifacts, and join a guided walk to the grounds of Emlen House (where Washington actually slept!). Fun for the whole family!
Know Before You Visit: Parking will be in the Christ’s Lutheran Church lot. Access to activities requires a short walk across grass. Activities will be held on gravel and grass lots. ADA porta potty facilities only. The tour to the Emlen House is approximately 1 mile round trip, on paved path and grass, but entrance is slightly rocky and sloped.
