Description: Learn about the myriad of “backyard” habitat recognition programs and why property recognition programs are important for birds and other wildlife.
This Wyncote Audubon Society meeting is open to the public in partnership with Upper Dublin Library.
Instructor: Phil Witmer is an experienced bird walk leader and lecturer on bird conservation. He has been president of the Delaware Valley Ornithological Club and past advisory board member of Audubon PA. He is currently participating on the Valley Forge Audubon Society Advocacy Committee and the Bird Town Pennsylvania Working Group. He lectures on backyard birding for the Main Line School Night.
The Wyncote Audubon Society is a Chapter of the National Audubon Society serving the nearly 2000 Audubon members who reside in major portions of Montgomery County and Philadelphia including Chestnut Hill, East Falls, Manayunk, Mt. Airy, Roxborough, North Philadelphia and Northeast Philadelphia.
