This program examines the history of the creation of the Bill of Rights, along with its ratification in 1791. The program will examine the origin of these rights, along with a look at how these rights have evolved throughout American history.
Presenter Matthew Riffe is a member of the Visitor Experience and Education Department at the National Constitution Center, located steps away from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in History at Immaculata University, and recently completed his Master’s Degree in History at La Salle University. He has been with the National Constitution Center since 2010, and currently serves as a Museum Programs Demonstrator, educating school and adult groups and visitors from around the nation and the world about American history and the U.S. Constitution.
