Description: Since 1866, the Broadway musical has reflected and influenced American culture, topped the charts and permeated our zeitgeist. Examine Broadway smashes and flops (some by the same creators), along with classics and their reimagined revivals. With multimedia-supported presentations, this series will feature not just the wow-worthy winners, but also the weirdly wonderful shows that are little-known.
Instructors:
Theatre artist and educator, Janine Moyer Buesgen, founded CreativeDrama.com, an online resource for teacher-directors. A lecturer in Theatre Education, she also sits on the board of Everybody’s Theater Company (ETC).
Retired UDSD theater teacher Debbie Thompson was a professional actress and cabaret performer, as well as a founding member of the Upper Dublin Adult Community Players and most recently, Everyboody’s Theater Company (ETC).
