Description: Local author Diane Billas presents a creative writing workshop for teens using her own experience writing novels as a guide. Teens will be encouraged to think of themselves as writers and take their writing seriously. Teens will gain skills to express their important thoughts and celebrate the fact that their stories and ideas matter and are worth expressing. There will be time at the end to ask questions about how to become a published author.
Instructor: Diane Billas currently lives in Upper Dublin with her husband and son. She has written two young adult novels: Does Love Always Win? releasing June 2023 and Superficial releasing September 2024, both from Creative James Media. She works in Penn Medicine’s Development office. When she’s not writing she can be found reading multiple books at once, performing the French horn or piano, or dreaming of the next country she’s going to visit.
Registration: Online registration required. Registration begins Monday 6/26
