Description:  A look at the Prelude to the American Civil War – covering North & South politics, what led to the Fort Sumpter standoff, and the opposing sides at the beginning of the War.

Instructor: West Point grad James Brown has a Masters in American History from UPenn. His 2 great-grandfathers fought in and survived the Civil War.
