The class will explore aspects of 19th and 20th century American Art that are important to the landscape tradition in the United States from the Hudson River Valley through the Impressionists. A current museum exhibit at the James W. Michener Museum in Doylestown, “George Sotter: Light & Shadow,” will inform the class content to further enrich the student experience.
Dr. Alice M. Rudy Price received a Ph.D. from Temple University, Tyler School of Art in 2014, specializing in nineteenth-century European art and culture. Dr. Price teaches modern and contemporary art and architecture at Temple University, Tyler School of Art and at Philadelphia University.
