Description:
November 16th– Ever felt like you didn’t fit in? Join us to discuss the graphic novel The New Kid by Jerry Craft; winner of the Newberry Medal, the Coretta Scott King Author Award, and the Kirkus Prize for Young Readers’ Literature. It’s a book about a kid starting a new school. A school where he is one of the only people of color and one where he is trying to figure out exactly where he fits in. The book will be put on hold for you when you register so you can read it before our meeting.
December 14th– We will read and discuss El Deafo by Cece Bell.
This program will be in-person inside and all COVID protocols will apply.
