Description: Bird Safe Philly has received a good deal of media attention from its “Lights Out” initiative but Bird Safe Philly is much more than “Lights Out.” Learn more about the group’s efforts and staff as they enter their second year of reducing urban hazards for native birds.
This Wyncote Audubon Society meeting is open to the public in partnership with Upper Dublin Library.
Instructor: Robin Irizarry is Audubon Mid-Atlantic’s Delaware River Watershed Program Chair and Wyncote Audubon’s Philadelphia Program Committee Chair. He helps to coordinate our Bird Safe Philly volunteers. Stephanie Egger is a Bird Safe Philly volunteer monitor at Independence National Historical Park. Stephen Maciejewski is the lead volunteer monitor who covers portions of center city and is responsible for training our new monitor volunteers.
The Wyncote Audubon Society is a Chapter of the National Audubon Society serving the nearly 2000 Audubon members who reside in major portions of Montgomery County and Philadelphia including Chestnut Hill, East Falls, Manayunk, Mt. Airy, Roxborough, North Philadelphia and Northeast Philadelphia.
