Description: Baseball is America’s game. Many 20th century immigrants believed that by understanding and enjoying baseball, they would be more readily accepted into American culture and life. Examine the interplay between baseball and the adaptation of immigrants into America society.
Instructor: Jeff Thomas has been a student of baseball since 1964, a tough year for Phillies fans. Jeff has played, coached and taught baseball for many decades. He has been a Phillies season ticket holder for 40+ years, and has attended games in at least 30 major and minor league ballparks. Jeff enjoys learning about and discussing the history of baseball.
