Description: Participate in discussions on topics selected by the class from recent issues developed at the Greater Philadelphia Thinking Society. Topics available are drawn from many fields, including science, technology, philosophy, politics, education, economics, psychology, and the arts. Many of the discussions offer multi-disciplinary perspectives, where an open mind is more important than deep knowledge in particular disciplines. Internet links to resource materials are provided for each session.
PLEASE NOTE: A mask is required for this course.
Instructor: Sandford Catz is a co-organizer and discussion leader for the Greater Philadelphia Thinking Society. He is a teacher for Temple OLLI lifelong learning programs and a retired engineering manager at Lockheed Martin. He has a BS in Chemistry and MEng in Engineering Sciences.
