Matching Gifts from your Employer – Remember to check with your employer regarding Matching Gifts!

All donors are Friends Members from the date of receiving the donation through December 31, 2023.

• A $100 gift offers 10 children or teens access to a STEAM program developing science, technology, engineering, the arts, and, math skills
• A $250 gift provides an annual museum pass for families of four to visit our region’s great cultural centers such as National Constitution Center, Academy of Natural Science, or the Tyler Arboretum
• A $500 donation enables 100 students to build their literacy skills through the Summer Reading Club

How your Friends Membership Donation Helps the Library:

When you donate to the Friends, you help provide the following for your library that would not happen without the support of the Friends: Summer Reading Programs, Museum passes, Continuing Adult Education Classes, Little Free Libraries, the monthly Book Page newsletter, and more.

The Friends is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. Your total membership is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Whether you’re looking for a good book or a gift, the friends-shop offers quality bestsellers, non-fiction, and children’s books at bargain prices at our ongoing book sale, along with assorted gifts in our new sale area on the first floor.

Attend a Friends Board Meeting

Come to a meeting and hear more about who the Friends are and what we do. Meetings are 1:00-2:30p,  2nd Thursdays of the month (currently via hybrid – both in person and by Zoom). See library calendar for meeting dates.
Friends members and non-members alike are invited to the next meeting of The Friends of UDPL. All are welcome — come and find out more about the Friends and opportunities to volunteer.


Corporate Giving

EITC (Educational Improvement Tax Credit)

The Friends of Upper Dublin Public Library has been designated as an Education Improvement Organization in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Program.  Approved activities under this program are:
+ Youth Literacy
+ Summer Quest/Summer Reading (focusing on grades K-3)
+ STEAM Programs

Eligible business firms may be awarded tax credits for contributions to an Educational Improvement Organization for approved activities.

A business firm or self-employed individual may receive a tax credit equal to 75% of its contribution to these approved organizations up to a maximum of $750,000 per taxable year. The tax credit may be increased to 90% of the contribution made, up to a maximum of $750,000 per taxable year, if the business firm agrees to provide the same amount of contribution to an organization for two consecutive years.

Applications are due by July 1 for new applicants.  Businesses making a two-year commitment must submit its second-year application and any subsequent renewal application by July 1.
