Corporate Giving – EITC (Educational Improvement Tax Credit)
The Friends of Upper Dublin Public Library has been designated as an Education Improvement Organization in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Program. Approved activities under this program are:
- Youth Literacy
- Summer Quest / Summer Reading (focusing on grades K-3)
- STEAM Programs
Eligible business firms may be awarded tax credits for contributions to an Educational Improvement Organization for approved activities.
A business firm or self-employed individual may receive a tax credit equal to 75% of its contribution to these approved organizations up to a maximum of $750,000 per taxable year. The tax credit may be increased to 90% of the contribution made, up to a maximum of $750,000 per taxable year, if the business firm agrees to provide the same amount of contribution to an organization for two consecutive years.
Applications are due at https://dced.pa.gov/programs/educational-improvement-tax-credit-program-eitc/ by July 1 for new applicants. Businesses making a two-year commitment must submit its second-year application and any subsequent renewal application by July 1.
