It is, as always, my pleasure and honor to acknowledge UDPL’s Teen Volunteers of the Year. This year’s recipients are especially close to my heart because they are part of the first group of students I’ve been able to watch throughout their entire high school career.  May 1st will be the four year anniversary of Cheri offering

Progress reports are a standard for Library Directors. Through these reports, we share with our residents how we’re responding to our community and the achievements we’ve made. These documents also assist the library staff and administration in thinking about where we need to be headed. I share with you today the latest of the UDPL’s two main reports. The

Dear School Librarians, I couldn't do my job without you. Okay, so MAYBE  I could still order books to put on the shelves without your suggestions. And MAYBE I could plan programs without your ideas. And MAYBE I could even oversee my volunteers without your help, but it sure would be a lot more difficult to do my job if I didn't have
