I just discovered the fascinating world of “Book Art” – everything from sculpted pages to altered Joseph Cornell-like shadow boxes. I stumbled upon this genre when I started the Library’s Pinterest account. I am now an avid fan of collages made out of books to paintings on page canvases. I see them as the physical embodiment of the author Nail Gaiman’s quotation, “Books make great gifts because they have whole worlds inside of them. And it’s much cheaper to buy somebody a book than it is to buy them the whole world!”
