15th Annual Kid’s Talent Show Recap

Jenn, our children's librarian

If you weren’t there last night, you missed some fantastic performances. Ranging in age from 5-10, fifteen children delighted an audience of their family, friends, and community members. There was dancing, singing, violin playing, acting, hula hooping, jump roping, and lots and lots of clapping. As the hostess with the mostess, I had a front row seat to enjoy the talents of some amazing kids. They were professional and well behaved and no one backed out of performing in front of 100 people. I was honored to give these kids an outlet for their talents, keep it up and you will go far.

I’m sure you want video and pictures, but I don’t have any. Why? Because I was there to support the performers and if they looked over at me and saw my face in my phone I would have disappointed them. I will put the call out to parents for any video or pictures they have and I will post them on Facebook.

Look for the show next year, encourage your children to be bold and show the world their talents. I’m glad my parents did when I was a child, I use my talents every day. Never be afraid to be yourself!
